March 2011:
5 Winter Campout at Nobscot (Space is Limited)
 
  • We have 2 Cabins reserved and space for 30 Scout/Parent pairs.  Please contact Bob Moore to reserve a spot.  Available space will be opened up to siblings and spouses on 2/28.
  • Meet at Nobscot at 1:30PM in Overnight Parking lot.  Please bring a warm sleeping bag and extra socks and shoes.

19 BSA Troop 12 Pancake Breakfast (7AM - 1PM) - Plymouth Church
 
  • Come help support Troop 12 with their annual fund raiser.  Attending the breakfast is a great way to show our support for Troop 12, especially since as soon as they close their doors they will start to cook our Blue and Gold dinner.  BTW - Pack 12 Cub Scouts in uniform eat for free!!  (Cost: Adults $4 kids under 12 $3)
19 BSA Pack 12 Blue & Gold Dinner (4PM - 7PM) - Plymouth Church
 
  • Please arrive at 3:30 to find a seat.  The ceremony and dinner will start at 4PM.  If you arrive after the ceremony starts you will have to wait to be seated.

  • Come to a very special Troop 12 court of honor.  One Scout from Troop 12 will be awarded their Eagle Badge.  Also, Dick Clarke (Pack 12 mentor) will receive the BSA Wood Badge.  The Wood badge represents Dick's completion of one of Scouting premier training programs.

  • Come see a Hockey game with the Pack!!  We will be meeting before the game in a private function room at the arena, and possibly meeting a player or two. The Scouts will also receive a P-Bruins hat, and special Scouting patch. We will also be recognized during the game! Friends and siblings are welcomed.

October 2010:
1-2 Camping at Purgatory Chasm (signup) (map) (Cost $10/Person)
 
  • A unique natural landmark, Purgatory Chasm runs for a quarter of a mile between granite walls rising as high as 70 feet. Popular with picnickers and rock-climbers alike, the Chasm is believed to have its origin in the sudden release of dammed-up glacial melt water near the end of the last Ice Age, approximately 14,000 years ago.
  • Webelos and Leaders are welcomed to camp Friday night

  • Stop by and support Plymouth Church.  The fall fair has crafts, home made goods, and tons of nick knacks for sale.
  • The Boy Scouts of Troop 12 will also setup the infamous Monkey Bridge for the kids to climb and traverse.

  • Nobscot Cub Day Treks – Come explore the reservation, participate in varied scouting activities, have dinner, and enjoy a huge campfire, with fun and songs, at the end of the day.  Nobscot has over 480 acres of beautiful forested land, and one of the highest points in Eastern Massachusetts!  Take a 20 minute hike up to Tippling Rock, where you can see three states, the Boston's skyline, Mt. Monadnock, and more.
  • This is a open event to the Knox Tail council.  Please let the contact lead know if you are planning to attend and when, so we can look for you and let other attendees know to look for you as well.

  • Come help clean up the Beaver Dam Brook in Framingham.  Service Projects are a great way for our Scouts get outside and have some fun while helping out the community.
  • We will be participating in many project thru out the year, so please help out where and when you can.  Just let the lead contact know that you are planning to attend, so we can keep you informed with up to date information.

Hike at Nobscot Scout Reservation (map) (All Ranks plus Friends)
    Location: Nobscot (All)    Uniform: Class B (All)
 
  • Meeting time 6PM at the main parking lot.  The younger scouts and friends will hike thru the reservation while the Webelos and friends setup a campsite for dinner (Hot Dogs, Crystal Light, and Smore's).  This is a recruiting meeting open to all, so please invite your friends to come along.  Scouting is more fun with friends.
