2010-2011 Membership Dues & Fees (Due October 2010)
This year Member dues are $75 per Scout, $50 for each additional Scout, and $25 per registered leader.  For example is you have 2 Scouts in your family and you are registered leader your dues this year will be $150.  Your dues cover the BSA registration fee, BSA insurance fee, Boy's Life subscription, and a class 'B' t-shirt.  Your dues also help off set the cost of meeting and derby supplies, prizes and awards.  Please submit your dues to your Rank leader during the month of October.  Checks should be made payable to BSA Pack 12.

World Scouting Awareness Project
Dick Clarke, Pack 12 Mentor and Troop 12 Scout Master,  is working on earning his Scouting Wood Badge and has put together a activity to increase the Pack's awareness of Scouting thru out the world.  Please look at the attached activity file (Den Activity, World Scouting) for more information.

Pack 12 helps clean up Purgatory Chasm
The Cub Scouts took time off from having fun at while camping at Purgatory Chasm on the weekend of Oct 2, 2010 to help clean up and maintain the park.  On Saturday the Scouts picked up trash on the trails while out exploring the park, and on Sunday before heading home the Scouts raked the pathway and leveled out the mulch bed under the swing set at the Park's welcome center.

     

Pack 12 helps clean up the Beaver Dam Brook in Framingham
Thank you to everyone that took time on Sunday morning, Sept 19, 2010, to help clean up the Beaver Dam Brook.  Pack 12 joined Pack 78, Brownie Troop 7114, their parents, neighbors, and the Framingham High School Environmental Club.  Read the MetroWest Daily News blurb and see all the pictures.

New Leader
Welcome Nancy Handy!  Nancy Handy has stepped up to be one of the Bear Leaders this year.  When you see her, thank her for stepping up.  The more trained Leaders that we have the better our program will be.

Parents Meeting (November Date TBD)
We want your feedback and suggestions on how to make the program better for our Scouts.  Also we have two big events coming up in the spring, the Pinewood Derby and the Blue and Gold dinner, and we need your help with planning and coordinating these events.

Pack Photographers Needed
We are looking for a couple of people to take pictures thru out the events to help capture our Scouts growing up.  We will have a couple of cameras at the meeting for people to use, so if you are interested in taking picture when you are there please see Doug DeMallie before the meeting starts.
